The kneeling Hanuman

The statue is painted in bright colours. Hanuman kneels with his hands folded and a conch resting at his knee, on a railed platform you reach by steps, with the hills of the Koraput plateau behind him.

Timings and festivals

The temple is open from 6:30 am to 7:30 pm. Ram Navami is its biggest day of the year and draws many devotees; Diwali and Dussehra are celebrated too. For a quieter visit, come on a weekday. October to February brings the mildest weather.
