In Koraput, we can pick you up at the railway station, the bus stand or your hotel.

Timings, visit length and tickets

  • Hours: open daily, 9 am to 1 pm and 2 pm to 6:30 pm.
  • Time to allow: about 2 hours.
  • In our quote: entry and camera tickets aren't included. You pay them separately.

Where the museum fits in a 1 to 4 day plan

When you ask for a quote, the written price comes with a route and timings for your dates.

  • A day near town (2 to 4 day trips): the easiest fit. Keep your full days for Deomali, the Duduma and Rani Duduma waterfalls or the Gupteswar cave temple, which has a climb of about 200 steps.
  • Arrival day: allow time for your station pickup, the drive to the museum and the visit. If that does not fit inside one listed session, keep the museum for another day.
  • Departure day: add the museum only if the visit and the drive to your train, bus or flight both fit. The road from Visakhapatnam via Araku takes about five hours, more with stops, and we plan long hill drives for daylight — on a day you head back to Visakhapatnam, the museum may not fit.
  • 1-day trip: the museum takes time away from the main sights. Add it if your day starts or ends in Koraput town.

For the other sights on a 1 to 4 day plan, see Koraput sightseeing, place by place.

Getting there with Ananta: vehicle and quote

Ananta runs one 17-seater AC Force Traveller, bought new in September 2026. A local driver drives you, and our support contact is on WhatsApp for the whole trip. All 17 passenger seats are for your group; the driver doesn't use them. Seventeen is a legal limit — a child on a lap can't take the group over 17. Suitcases go on the roof luggage carrier and small bags on the overhead rack, so all 17 of you can bring big luggage.

Our pickup and drop points:

  • Koraput: railway station, bus stand or hotel
  • Jeypore: town, bus stand or Jeypore Airport
  • Railway stations: including Koraput Junction, Damanjodi, Jeypore, Araku and Rayagada
  • Visakhapatnam: Visakhapatnam airport (the new one at Bhogapuram) and Visakhapatnam railway station

You get one written price for the whole vehicle. It covers the Traveller, the driver, fuel, and tolls, parking and permits on the agreed route. You pay separately for meals, hotels, and entry and camera tickets. If you decide on the day to add the museum, we price that stop before we drive there, never after.

Ask for a quote on WhatsApp: message +91 79787 07736 on WhatsApp. Send your dates, group size, where you arrive and the sights you want. Mention the Tribal Museum if you want it included. We answer enquiries from 7 am to 9 pm, every day. Once we have your dates, group size and route, we send a written price the same day. You owe nothing until you accept it in writing.
