From Bhubaneswar, take the overnight Hirakhand Express: it leaves at 7:35 PM and reaches Koraput Junction at 8:05 AM. From Visakhapatnam, the road via Araku takes about five hours, more with stops, and we pick you up at the airport or the railway station. Small groups can fly to Jeypore. In winter, plan for fog on early mornings and nights that drop to 3 °C.

By train
- From Bhubaneswar: the Hirakhand Express (18447) leaves at 7:35 PM every night and reaches Koraput Junction at 8:05 AM, then Jeypore.
- From Howrah (Kolkata): the Samaleswari Express (18005) leaves at 10:10 PM and reaches Koraput Junction at 7:15 PM the next evening.
- From Visakhapatnam: the night express (18515) leaves at 9:10 PM and reaches Koraput at 2:20 AM. The day passenger (58501) leaves at 7:00 AM, climbs through Araku and reaches Koraput at 1:20 PM: slower, but the whole line is in daylight.
- Where to get down: Koraput Junction for Koraput town, Jeypore for Jeypore. We meet trains at Koraput Junction, Jeypore, Damanjodi, Rayagada and Araku.

By air
- Jeypore Airport: IndiaOne Air flies here from Bhubaneswar and Visakhapatnam, in a 9-seat Cessna Caravan. A group of more than nine can't all fit on one flight.
- Bigger groups: fly into Visakhapatnam. Its flights moved to the new airport at Bhogapuram on 17 August 2026; we pick up there and drive via Araku in daylight.

By road
- From Visakhapatnam: 199 km, about 4 h 55 min on Google Maps, via Araku, and more with stops.
- From the Visakhapatnam airport at Bhogapuram: 186 km, about 4 h 20 min.
- From Raipur: 403 km, about 8 h 15 min, on NH 26.
- Ghat roads: the road into Koraput climbs through forest with sharp hairpin bends. We plan these drives for daylight, and anyone who gets car-sick can have a front-row or window seat.
- By bus: we pick up at the Koraput and Jeypore bus stands.

Winter mornings: fog and cold
- Cold: winter nights in Koraput drop to 3 °C. Bring warm clothes for everyone, and an extra layer for early starts and night arrivals.
- Fog: winter mornings can be foggy on the roads and at Bhubaneswar airport. If you change from a flight to a train, leave spare time between them.
- Running late? The day before, we send the meeting point and the driver's number. If your train or flight runs late, message the driver and we wait.
